Purpose: Your Place of Prosperity

Recently I’ve had the privilege of speaking with many individuals regarding their places of employment.  Instead of hearing about the joy of their work experiences, I have been stunned by the pervasive spirit that hovers over many during this dispensation of time.  To put it bluntly…they hate their jobs!  Most are miserable – terribly miserable.  And yet they remain in those positions basically prostituting themselves for the mighty dollar.
Purpose is Your Work, and Work is Your Worship!
Julianne Pearson

If by any chance you are one of those in the category of most, please don’t get offended and refuse to read the remaining portions of this blog.  The Truth is, God NEVER intended for you to be miserable and unhappy in your places of employment.  Your place of employment is designed by God to be your place of prosperity where you would experience the wonderful opportunity to re-present Him – The King.  Everything we do should give glory and honor to The King we re-present.  Therefore, in an effort to re-present Him well, I don’t believe miserable and unhappy should be descriptions of our experiences simply because those descriptions are totally contrary to the Nature of God Himself.
According to Dr. Myles Munroe is his book The Purpose and Power of Authority – Discovering the Power of Your Personal Domain, he states that the very areas that most people recognize as their hobbies is actually the very place of their prosperity.  This is the place where they are called, chosen, and ordained to operate effortlessly and enjoy the bountiful fruits of their work.
Being able to enjoy one’s work is truly a Gift from God.[i]  Therefore, in this Holiday Season, give yourself one of the most monumental gifts of all time – rediscover your purpose and get to W.O.R.K.!  I’m not telling you to quit your job – your temporary place of just over broke; however, at least begin your search for the Truth of You and start getting paid for what you would do for free.  It will be worth your time, worth your energy, and worth the compensation.  For it is that very place where you will find your prosperity – wholeness, completeness, and peace!

Celebrating My Champions by Julianne Pearson

A few days before Father’s Day 2010, my husband and I were having a heart to heart talk with our children.  Because of our commitment to healing the repetitive dysfunctional behaviors of our ancestors, my husband and I are quite naked and unashamed with them at times – to their chagrin.  However, like any natural hurt or wound, in order for it to heal properly eventually the Band-Aid has to be removed so that air can get to it.  Likewise, the spiritual hurts and wounds of our past must be aired constructively so that the proper healing can take place.
Therefore on this particular Father’s Day, it was Al’s opportunity to receive another level of healing through the power of confession.  As he poured out his heart, my heart actually began to ache in compassion for him like never before.  However, the interesting thing is, Al being naked and unashamed actually gave me a greater appreciation for all the challenges my own father had encountered, survived, and transitioned from this life in the process of conquering.
According to most relationship specialists, it is said that the fellowship (quality of a relationship) a daughter has with her father will be indicative to the fellowship she will have with her husband.  In essence, the qualities and characteristics of her father are an indication of the qualities and characteristics of the individual she chooses to date and eventually marry.  Although there are always exceptions to the rule, this is a prevailing premise.  Naturally, I followed the rule and married someone similar to my dad.
Yes, like any other human being, my father had some frailties and deficiencies; and so does my husband.  However on this particular day, God gave me an opportunity to gain a greater appreciation for one profound quality both of them share – Champion!
I define a champion as one who is a visionary and missionary who is accustomed to rising to the top – eventually!  Let me explain.  A visionary is an individual that has the ability to envision beyond their past disappointments and their present view.  However, a missionary is an individual that possesses the capacity to put into action or make a life-mission of what they envision.  Although many people visualize experiencing more, fewer people possess the missionary spirit to do something about what they envision.  In my opinion, those that forcefully advance with steps of faith to experience what they envision regardless of their past experiences and present circumstances are true Champions!
Similar to my dad, Al has been training to be someone neither one of them had the pleasure of experiencing as a child – an interactive father.  I say training because failure – in Al’s mind just like my dad – is not even an option.  Al is determined to be more, and therefore he continually strives to do more.   Subsequently, Al’s decision (mind-determination) and choices (faith in action) to persevere has broken a destructive family pattern, doing what was initially difficult until it became easy.
Therefore, today I honor the Champions in my life – my dad and my husband.  Why don’t you join me?  If you have a true Champion in your life – a visionary and missionary – celebrate their efforts to be more which has empowered them to do more than what was done for them.  It is no easy feat!  And yet they have persevered, making their ceiling their children’s floor!  I promise you…because of this Championing spirit, Heaven rejoices!

Preserved for Purpose by Julianne Pearson

When Purpose is NOT defined, abuse is inevitable!
Myles Munroe
Lately I’ve had to aggressively admit, confront, and deal with the spirit of rejection.  This is something I’ve dealt with before; however, because of my passionate pursuit of purpose a revisit was required.
For as long as I can remember, rejection has been a repetitive issue in my life.  Through elementary school, high school, college, and even in my adult life, I’ve never had many individuals I would categorize as friends.  Although I often advise people to refrain from using never in their vocabulary, in this instance it is quite appropriate.  I can count on one hand the number of friends I had in high school and college, and even now.  I was rarely invited to parties or outings.  I couldn’t keep a boyfriend for anything regardless of how big I loved (Thanks to my daughter for that affirmation!).
Therefore as I was actively addressing the emotions that resulted from another perceived dismissal, God brought back to my remembrance a statement I heard a few years ago during a Dunamis Empowerment Session in Chicago, IL:

Rejection actually means Preservation.
Davetta Collins

Heaven exposed a lesson I needed to learn - again!
Every time I am rejected – dismissed and disregarded as useless – actually means I am being preserved – kept alive, safe from harm or injury, and protected!  WOW!  Now that’s the way to flip the script on hell!  Far too long I thought something was wrong with me when in actuality something is divinely right about me – PURPOSE!

However, WHEN Purpose is defined,
Everything is put in its proper perspective!
Julianne Pearson

Since God is a God of Purpose, we were all created on purpose for a particular purpose – a divine assignment we are to fulfill during our time on earth.  Therefore, if there is anything, anyone, or any situation that is an antithesis to purpose, God allows it to be dismissed and is disregarded – no longer useful in His Plan for our lives.  Once that particular person, place, or situation has fulfilled their purpose, it’s adiós!  Fortunately for our sake, often there’s nothing we can do to keep them or it around – regardless of how hard we try!   I have discovered that once the tears stop, I am able to see more clearly that everything – including people – is being put in its proper perspective according to divine purpose.  With that perspective, it has become easier and more sincere for me to utter a, “Thank You Jesus!”
Therefore, being continually preserved for purpose propels me into the places I was created to dwell.  Otherwise (knowing me with my loyal self) I would have settled for less by …
·        Wasting time in the wrong place, with the wrong position, hanging out with the wrong people.
·        Marrying a fool.
·        Limiting my personal purpose-full potential and accomplishments.
·        Trusting untrustworthy individuals.
·        Believing someone else’s opinion of God instead of seeing Him for myself!

Today, I encourage all who feel or have felt rejected, dismissed or disregarded as useless.  Go ahead and give God praise for every closed door like you do when He opens one.  In the end, you’ll see – perceive, know, and appreciate – it’s all been about purpose, and the exchange was and is worth it!

Throw Yourself a Party! by Julianne Pearson

Accomplishments are the Bricks that are
Placed of the Framework of Potential.
Al Pearson

Today I had the privilege of celebrating with my cousin, Leah.  We rejoiced over the manifestation of a long-awaited dream, the manifestation of personal passion.  Finally, this seed of divine potential has become a fully bloomed flower of divine accomplishment – Opus I:  Love is… her first CD release.
One of the reasons I have a feeling of great joy for Leah’s divine accomplishment is because she did not wait until all the conditions of her life were perfect before she forcefully advanced to produce according to what God had ordained for her life.  We all know some people who know that God has called them to a particular assignment; however, they are waiting until all of their ducks are in a row before they even attempt to accomplish purpose.  Unfortunately, satan will continue to arrange the delay, and they will continue to wait for until which will continue to exist…until!

Until what, you may ask.  Well until…
·        The Word of God silences the insignificant opinions of man.

·        They embrace who they were and live in spiritual integrity, refusing to be anyone other than who God has created, ordained, anointed, appointed, and commissioned them to be.

·        They decide to produce in their state of captivity, using what they have, starting where they are, and doing what they can.

·        Their “misery factor” finally outweighs their “fear factor”.

·        They are willing to deny themselves of temporal pleasures temporarily for the establishment of eternal blessings permanently, producing according to divine vision that will outlive them.

·        They are determined to never settle for less than God’s Best by regulating their minds and managing their emotions, no longer being moved by the circumstantial induced indecent proposals a life of compromise flirtatiously offers.

Therefore, if you are one of the ones who has been faithful and fruitful, committed to produce regardless, don’t wait for someone else to celebrate you.  Throw yourself a party!  You know what you’ve had to endure to be who God has called you to be; and therefore, do what you’ve been divinely assigned to do.  Recognize your own value and celebrate you!
However, if you are one of the ones who is waiting for until, it has arrived...Today!  I encourage you to avoid the common tendency to allow your mind to rationalize you out of following your heart.  Is it possible that your heart could be leading into the greatest season of liberty you have ever experienced?  As Al frequently states, “Potential is unused capacity.”  Let divine visualization become a realization in your life.  Then and only then, like Leah, you can throw yourself a party, giving others the opportunity to celebrate with you too!

Don’t Die… Multiply! by Julianne Pearson

The late Robin Harris had a stand-up comedy act entitled “BéBé’s Kids.”  In the act, BéBé was the friend of Robin Harris’ prospective girlfriend.  Because Harris was attempting to win the favor of this young lady, he willingly agreed to take her and her son to Disneyland.  However when Harris arrived to pick her up, not only did she have her son, she also had BéBé’s Kids as well. Harris soon realizes, through a series of unfortunate events, that these children are quite destructive, rambunctious, and at times very unruly.  Ok...from Harris’ description, BéBé’s Kids, were downright bad!  Although even in comedy, there was a why (reason) behind the
what (behavior), BéBé’s Kids caused much terror wherever they went.
Although there were several attempts to prevent BéBé’s Kids from being able to wreak havoc, somehow by shear determination and passionate pursuit for trouble they managed to continue their disorderly conduct.  Throughout the comedy act, there was one statement that BéBé’s Kids repeatedly declared.  This was their famous retort every time someone unsuccessfully attempted to stop their mayhem.  BéBé’s Kids would boldly declare… “We don’t die; we multiply!”  In other words, BéBé’s Kids were confidently declaring that no matter what any one tried to do in an effort to stop them from being a menace to society, they were not going to be stopped.  In actuality, BéBé’s Kids increased in their disruptive, destructive activities until they made the impact their hearts’ desired.
Although BéBé’s Kids’ energies were misdirected and produced destructive results, we can all learn one valuable lesson from their passionate pursuit… “Don’t Die…Multiply!”  Whatever we have purposed in our hearts to accomplish, we cannot allow the oppositions we face to stop us in our tracks or even hinder our progress.  With every dream, determination and resilience are the pre-requisites of our expectations actually materializing.  Instead of losing force and activity, we must be determined to increase in power by forcefully advancing…regardless!

Dennis Wheatly stated, “A Champion is a Champion because they position themselves to win more than anyone else.”

Everyone desires to be known as a champion; however, not every one desires to do what it takes to earn that title.  One of the simple definitions our household has given to the word champion is “a person who finds a way…regardless.”  To us, a champion is someone who has purpose (goals) as their focus and therefore, don’t allow the circumstantial induced indecent proposals to keep them from fulfilling what they set out to accomplish.  Somehow, in the midst of the circumstances that would make most individuals less productive and possibly render them in operative, champions continue to produce some kind of way.  They have the capacity of thought along with mental and emotional fortitude, allowing their minds to think “out of the box,” working with what they have, and appearing to be unstoppable.
Today, I encourage you to forcefully advance into all you have been earthed to accomplish.  Just like BéBé’s Kids, all who are in relentless, passionate pursuit of purpose (goal) should be more determined than any enemy – which is anyone or any circumstance that is attempting to prevent progress.  However, unlike BéBé’s Kids, let’s make sure the heart motive behind our passionate pursuit is for constructive reasons which have the potential to yield the maximum profitable results.  Therefore, regardless of the various contrary circumstances life sends your way, choose too make it happen!  And most assuredly, “Don’t Die…Multiply!”

The Purpose Principle by Julianne Pearson

This past weekend I had the privilege of observing my daughter use her gift of dance at an Easter Program at a local assembly.  Just a few days before, after her portion of the dress rehearsal, I gave her a big hug (as usual) and told her how wonderfully she served her gift.  Without as much as a blink of an eye, she responded…Dancing is therapy!
Because my primary gift is the creative use of words, I am most moved into inspiration through the releasing and receiving of the same.  So, when my daughter released those words…Dancing is therapy...my heart leaped for joy.  Why?  I was overjoyed because for the past few years I have been releasing The Purpose Principle to my family, friends, and pretty much anyone else who would lend me their ear.  To see its fruition manifest through my daughter brought me joy.  Now, it’s your turn!
Let’s take a few moments to bring clarity to the term therapy.  According to The American Heritage® Stedman’s Medical Dictionary, therapy is defined as “a healing power or quality.”  Therefore, anything that possesses a healing power or quality can be considered therapy.  So, when my daughter stated that Dancing is therapy!...in essence she was declaring (openly announcing) that dancing (purpose) has curative power, allowing her to experience a greater degree of personal freedom from the pains and wounds of her past and the frustrating conditions of her present.

Channel Your Damaged Emotions through Purpose!

Therefore, The Purpose Principle is when we choose to channel our damaged emotions through purpose; so that they no longer contaminate us and ultimately we are empowered to defeat the enemy of our souls (mind, emotions, and will).  Unfortunately, too many remain ignorant (unknowledgeable) to the purpose for which they were earthed into time and therefore remain open prey to those infectious contaminants that cause mental and eventually physical disorders.  When we take the time to re-discover the reason (purpose) for having the breath of life, we will then hold the very key to life.  That is exactly why the enemy of our souls uses every single trick in his book to keep us blind to the Truth of “who we were” in the Mind of God before we were earthed into time.  For when we become awakened to that Truth, we will possess one of the greatest weapons against his diabolical plots, plans, and schemes – PURPOSE!
Today I encourage you to re-discover your purpose.  For when purpose is defined EVERYTHING is put in its proper perspective.  Purpose is the divine force that will push you beyond the personal confinements of the past and the restrictions of the present, pulling you into the purpose-full liberating potential of the future.  You truly have not lived until you live your life on purpose!  Why not start today?  For if not now…when?
