Purpose: Your Place of Prosperity

Recently I’ve had the privilege of speaking with many individuals regarding their places of employment.  Instead of hearing about the joy of their work experiences, I have been stunned by the pervasive spirit that hovers over many during this dispensation of time.  To put it bluntly…they hate their jobs!  Most are miserable – terribly miserable.  And yet they remain in those positions basically prostituting themselves for the mighty dollar.

Purpose is Your Work, and Work is Your Worship!

      If by any chance you are one of those in the category of most, please don’t get offended and refuse to read the remaining portions of this blog.  The Truth is, God NEVER intended for you to be miserable and unhappy in your places of employment.  Your place of employment is designed by God to be your place of prosperity where you would experience the wonderful opportunity to re-present Him – The King.  Everything we do should give glory and honor to The King we re-present.  Therefore, in an effort to re-present Him well, I don’t believe miserable and unhappy should be descriptions of our experiences simply because those descriptions are totally contrary to the Nature of God Himself.

      According to Dr. Myles Munroe is his book The Purpose and Power of Authority – Discovering the Power of Your Personal Domain, he states that the very areas that most people recognize as their hobbies is actually the very place of their prosperity.  This is the place where they are called, chosen, and ordained to operate effortlessly and enjoy the bountiful fruits of their work.

      Being able to enjoy one’s work is truly a Gift from God.[i]  Therefore, in this Holiday Season, give yourself one of the most monumental gifts of all time – rediscover your purpose and get to W.O.R.K.!  I’m not telling you to quit your job – your temporary place of just over broke; however, at least begin your search for the Truth of You and start getting paid for what you would do for free.  It will be worth your time, worth your energy, and worth the compensation.  For it is that very place where you will find your prosperity – wholeness, completeness, and peace!

It’s Time to Go to W.O.R.K.! by Julianne Pearson

For the last few years, it has be an extremely difficult time for many people.  Day after day…week after week…and year after year, thousands of people have gone to their places of employment they fondly describe as their jobs only to arrive one day and be released from their positions.  This inconvenient crisis causes most to panic and stress about how in the world they are going to continue providing for their households.  As unfortunate as this situation can be, I am hopeful after reading this blog – for some – you will see this inconvenient crisis as an unscheduled, yet divine change.  Based upon the revelation I have now, many of those same people who went to their jobs year after year did not work one day!  I know…stay with me.  Your paradigm is about to be shifted to the next dimension of purpose-full understanding.

I’m sure most of you have heard the acronym for the word “job” – just over broke.  Throughout my 20 plus years of adult life, I’ve come to understand that just over broke has to do with much more than the results of financial deprivation.  Many people who force themselves day after day, week after week, and then year after year to go to their jobs are just over broke or bankrupt soulishly – mentally and emotionally.  They envision themselves as more capable than their current positions reflect every single week day.  Therefore day after day, week after week, and year after year, their joy in life slowly erodes, causing them to settle for the mediocre lifestyle so many others before them and beside them choose to accept as normal, all the while knowing that something is desperately wrong but not possessing the revelation on how to make it right.

If I’m talking to you, I believe today you are going to receive your freedom papers – signed, sealed, and delivered from the King Himself.  Listen…God never intended for any of us to have a job or to be just over broke.  We were all created for work, having a divine assignment or purpose.  By going to “w.o.r.k.,” we have the wonderful opportunity to re-present the King – God Himself.  That’s right!  God desires for you and me to go to work day after day, week after week, and year after year, experiencing the wonderful opportunity to re-present Him.  

How can I re-present the King?

I am so glad you asked.  Here’s the key to begin going to work – embark on the wonderful opportunity to re-discover the king in you!  As Dr. Myles Munroe frequently states, there is a domain our King-Father has given each and every one of us the delegated authority to rule.  It is in our place of authority (gifting) that empowers us to live in authenticity – “who we were” in the Mind of God before we were earthed into time.  It is in our place of purpose or work where no one can serve us a pink-slip!  We can never be dismissed from being who God has created us to be.  It’s in our work – the wonderful opportunity to re-present the King – that our daily provisions are guaranteed.

So if you are one of the ones who have been politely let go from your previous place of employment and are having a difficult time finding another job, take courage and embrace this unscheduled, divine change.  This time...choose to go to work and never be broke another day in your life!
