Don’t Die… Multiply! by Julianne Pearson

The late Robin Harris had a stand-up comedy act entitled “BéBé’s Kids.”  In the act, BéBé was the friend of Robin Harris’ prospective girlfriend.  Because Harris was attempting to win the favor of this young lady, he willingly agreed to take her and her son to Disneyland.  However when Harris arrived to pick her up, not only did she have her son, she also had BéBé’s Kids as well. Harris soon realizes, through a series of unfortunate events, that these children are quite destructive, rambunctious, and at times very unruly.  Ok...from Harris’ description, BéBé’s Kids, were downright bad!  Although even in comedy, there was a why (reason) behind the
what (behavior), BéBé’s Kids caused much terror wherever they went.
Although there were several attempts to prevent BéBé’s Kids from being able to wreak havoc, somehow by shear determination and passionate pursuit for trouble they managed to continue their disorderly conduct.  Throughout the comedy act, there was one statement that BéBé’s Kids repeatedly declared.  This was their famous retort every time someone unsuccessfully attempted to stop their mayhem.  BéBé’s Kids would boldly declare… “We don’t die; we multiply!  In other words, BéBé’s Kids were confidently declaring that no matter what any one tried to do in an effort to stop them from being a menace to society, they were not going to be stopped.  In actuality, BéBé’s Kids increased in their disruptive, destructive activities until they made the impact their hearts’ desired.
Although BéBé’s Kids’ energies were misdirected and produced destructive results, we can all learn one valuable lesson from their passionate pursuit… “Don’t Die…Multiply!”  Whatever we have purposed in our hearts to accomplish, we cannot allow the oppositions we face to stop us in our tracks or even hinder our progress.  With every dream, determination and resilience are the pre-requisites of our expectations actually materializing.  Instead of losing force and activity, we must be determined to increase in power by forcefully advancing…regardless!

Dennis Wheatly stated, “A Champion is a Champion because they position themselves to win more than anyone else.”

Everyone desires to be known as a champion; however, not every one desires to do what it takes to earn that title.  One of the simple definitions our household has given to the word champion is “a person who finds a way…regardless.”  To us, a champion is someone who has purpose (goals) as their focus and therefore, don’t allow the circumstantial induced indecent proposals to keep them from fulfilling what they set out to accomplish.  Somehow, in the midst of the circumstances that would make most individuals less productive and possibly render them in operative, champions continue to produce some kind of way.  They have the capacity of thought along with mental and emotional fortitude, allowing their minds to think “out of the box,” working with what they have, and appearing to be unstoppable.
Today, I encourage you to forcefully advance into all you have been earthed to accomplish.  Just like BéBé’s Kids, all who are in relentless, passionate pursuit of purpose (goal) should be more determined than any enemy – which is anyone or any circumstance that is attempting to prevent progress.  However, unlike BéBé’s Kids, let’s make sure the heart motive behind our passionate pursuit is for constructive reasons which have the potential to yield the maximum profitable results.  Therefore, regardless of the various contrary circumstances life sends your way, choose too make it happen!  And most assuredly, “Don’t Die…Multiply!
