Truth Training Session #6: Journey Back to Me

Wow! It’s been a few weeks since we’ve engaged in an accountability check. We must always remember that growth can only take place after there has been the essential education that empowers us to reflect in action all that we’ve learned.[1] Additionally, I am hopeful you are exercising those Strength Muscles of Perseverance as you progressively move forward. Continue to be bold as a lion for The Ultimate Conqueror desires to reveal Himself through you–His H.E.R.O.![2]

I must say, persistence does pay off–royally! It’s been eighteen years since I’ve been my “pre-twin baby” weight/size. That’s right! Over the past year, I’ve been blessed to lose and keep off close to 45lbs. I went from a size 12/14 to a size 6/8! I finally feel comfortable in my own skin.

Most often, those who have not seen me in some time are shocked at the perceived “extreme” weight loss. Some have even asked me if I’m sick or something. With firm assurance I let them know, I’m healthy and well. Others have given themselves the license to express their personal displeasure with my size. In their opinion, I need to gain some of the pounds back. However, since I am thoroughly enjoying my size, my next workout plan is to build muscle upon this current frame until I realize what I envision. With that in mind, let’s press into today’s Truth Training Moment…

Whatever you accept becomes true to you;

Whatever you live becomes true to others;

Although it may be contrary to Truth![3]

It is important for us to understand that the reality of who we present to others is based upon who we perceive ourselves to be. Our thoughts or belief systems determine our behavior patterns (actions). Therefore, when we portray what we have believed and in essence accept it to be true, others are trained to perceive and treat us as such. Unfortunately, too often this takes place when our belief systems and subsequently, our behavioral patterns are not in alignment with Truth.

In order for us to flourish in the “Realm of Spiritual Integrity,” we must begin to embrace and choose to live out The Truth–“who we were” in the Mind of God before we were earthed into time. In essence, we are “A Word” that has been spoken out of The Very Mouth of God. Therefore, our true– genuine, authentic, and real–self is only what God has said. Anything else is a fallacy.

Unfortunately, there was a time I did not accept The Truth of Me and actually believed the many lies of the enemy. Again, the lies were anything opposite or contrary to what God had declared. After taking time to meditate on the above-mentioned Alism, it became imperative for me to have a God-accurate perception of myself. As I opened my heart to receive Love’s Affirmation, He softly whispered…

Stop working so diligently to change others’ perception of you. Work persistently to change the perception you have of yourself. Remember, “How you perceive a thing [yourself] is how you will treat a thing [yourself].”[4] Allow your perception to come up higher, into alignment with My Eternal Purpose Perspective of you. It is then and only then that you will set the parameters for the treatment you will accept from others–including yourself.

It’s amazing, now that I am over 40 years of age, I’m finally taking the opportunity to be introduced to my authentic Truth self–My Kingdom Me. Over the past few years, at times I was a little nervous. Why? Because I wasn’t too sure who was in there and who would come out. I had conditioned myself to tolerate the lies I had believed all of these years. It’s been an unveiling, if you will. However, this re-discovery has been vital for me to live purpose-full my remaining days of life on earth.

Please know it is time for all of us to define our reality by Love’s Word only for anything else is a lie from the pit of hell! My prayer is that you will allow Love to reveal more of Himself to you so that you can envision The Truth. Therefore, with every glimpse Love reveals, I highly encourage you to lovingly embrace your “Kingdom Me,” come into complete alignment, and wholeheartedly agree with The Truth of You. Just existing is no longer an option. The Truth Is…it’s finally time to step into the journey of a lifetime.

Hear, Heed, and Heal (Revisited)

In light of the Presidential Election season, I felt led to revisit this blog…Hear, Heed, and Heal. For all who have not placed their ballot, this Word is for you. Rise to the challenge and vote in alignment with Truth regardless of the person or the particular political party. Know that Love is relying on us to serve our generation well, position our descendants to prosper! Let’s take a stand in faith and make Love smile…

Before I was afflicted I went astray,

but now Your Word do I keep

[hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying It].

Psalms 119:67 AMP

On Good Friday of 2012, my daughter and I had the privilege of participating in a solemn assembly called “The Esther Call” spearheaded by the ministry of Lou Engle. The purpose of this time of corporate prayer, praise, and worship was to petition Love to forgive us and heal our land from the insidious damage of Roe vs. Wade–the legalization of abortion. By being post-abortive, my purpose for attending the event was to receive a deeper level of healing for the pro-choice decision I made approximately 22 years ago. However, as usual Love had a Purpose and Plan of His Own that was “exceeding abundantly above all I could ask or think”.[1]

Allow me to share with you one of the life-changing moments I experienced during the very first few hours of the day’s events. Looking back, I’m uncertain of exactly what was taking place at the time; however, I do remember hearing Love softly speak these Words to me…

If My Word was honored,

It [My Word] would heal all societal-ills.

In that moment, I began to allow That Word to be a mirror and meditate on The Truth.[2] There were several life-choices I have made that caused unnecessary pain, hurt, and injury that would have otherwise been avoided if I had honored His Word. Truth be told, currently I am still dealing with the adverse effects of disrespecting and devaluing The Word of Love as the Final Authority in my life–void of opinions and absent of circumstances.

Everything's falling apart on me, God;

put me together again with Your Word.

Psalms 119:107 MSG

For instance, if I had valued Love’s Word some 25 years ago, I would have believed The Truth that I was already “accepted in the Beloved,”[3] and therefore, refrained from attempting to get a legitimate need of Love met illegitimately through pre-marital sex. Therefore, as a single woman, if I had chosen a life of purity, I would have never experienced the heart-wrenching effects of rejection, abuse, unscheduled pregnancies, the abortion predicament as well as the emotional turmoil and the mental torment that lingers long after such a pernicious action.

Additionally, from a financial perspective, in previous decades if I had honored Love as My Provider as well as valued Love’s Word to “owe no man nothing but Love,”[4] at the loss of full-time employment in 2001 and when our business was re-structured in 2008–both times causing a significant reduction in our monthly income–my family and I would never have been vulnerable to the threats of repossession, foreclosure, defaulting of student loans, or even the harassing, incessant calls of creditors.[5]

Therefore, it’s been through the experiences of these personal-ills that I’ve learned what may initially seem to offer a level of freedom, eventually leads to a deeper degree of bondage. However, on the contrary, as I live for the Audience of One–honoring The Word–the very things that appear to be restrictive initially promises to lead me to the greatest degree of freedom I have ever experienced–void of collateral damage.

The LĪVE Movement:

Enhancing the Individual for the Advance of the Whole.

I wholeheartedly believe Love spoke These Words and led me to share my story with you as a Preventative Measure to encourage all of us to re-evaluate our decision making processes. When we choose to look at the “man or woman in the mirror” and align our decisions and choices with Love’s Word of Truth and thus changing our ways, we will begin to see the transformation society needs–eventually making the world a better place.[6] Let's rise up and be Love’s healing agents of transformation first for us individually and our families collectively, then for our communities, and finally the world at large.

By the way, thank you Love for the Divine Reminder released through the Gift called Michael Jackson!
