Happy
Truth Training Day! I am hopeful the
discipline of living in Truth has enhanced your faith muscles as well as
increased your flexibility to stretch beyond any previously held thoughts,
ideas, and imaginations you have envisioned of and for yourself. With each step, know that you are making
progress in purpose that promises to yield mind-blowing results. Be confident of this one thing: the spiritual and moral sweat-equity of these
present moments is an investment with eternal gains. [1]
Trust me…it is worth it all!
Now
as we start today’s training, make sure you are determined to stay anchored in
Truth for it’s from this very foundation that we begin this week’s lesson. Are you ready? Good! On
your mark, get set, let’s go…
So
run to win… run with purpose in every step.

Corinthians 9:24a, 26a NLT
After
another embarrassing finish (so I thought), I returned home to express my
dissatisfaction. Once again, My Trainer
firmly stated a Truth that has set my fitness as well as spiritual course
straight…Run your race! Amazingly,
I received a super dose of peace with this one statement. My goal was to find an exercise that would
facilitate getting fit and trim, not for me to compete. Therefore, I actually won every single time I
started to run. I ran consistently and
persistently while pushing until I reached the finish line–regardless of the
length of time it took. Additionally, I
finally realized whoever finished before or after me became an irrelevant factor
at me winning my r.a.c.e.–“rendering
all Christ expects” in the spirit of excellence.
Don’t Compete…Win!

As
you run your race in L.I.F.E. (Living
In Full Expression), have you ever found yourself living in the spirit of
comparison? Do you look at the pace of
your life and then compare it to the speed of another? The Truth states that it’s unwise for us to
compare ourselves to anyone, at any time, for any reason.[2]
Too often we can be tempted to pay more attention to the race someone
else is running, instead of allowing peace to be the umpire of our own lives
and run the race that is set before us.[3]
During
different seasons of my life, I've experienced
the pressure of others to move at a pace that was uncomfortable for me. I was overwhelmed by internal
conflict even at the thought of moving in the suggested direction. In those moments, it became more
and more apparent to me that those individuals didn't seem to appreciate the
race I was running or my personal ability and capacity to respond effectively,
at the time. However, Love
knew me well.
Therefore,
one day Love reassured me He knew what was Important to Him as well as
what was important to me. Love
promised as I continue to live from the inside out and allow peace to be my
rule of thumb, that neither what was Important to Him or what was important to
me would ever come in conflict.
Additionally, Love affirmed that when it was time for me to make another
move, I could count on Him letting me know and everything would be
ready…everything!
It
is essential to our inner strength, stamina, and overall well-being to always
remember, The Creator and Giver of Life desires for us to succeed abundantly
more than even we desire. Therefore,
today I encourage every Fellow Runner; stay focused on your race. Keep a steady pace and choose to embrace the
grace to endure with purpose in every step.
Then by all means, stay determined to finish everything you start in The
Strength of Truth for the good Life awaits.[4]
Until next week, RUN YOUR RACE…
[1] Hebrews
12:10-11 NLT
10 For our earthly
fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s
discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.
11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

[2] Galatians 6:4
NLT, Pay
careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a
job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.
[3] Hebrews 12:1
AMP,
THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who
have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside
every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly
and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run
with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of
the race that is set before us, {emphasis}
Colossians 3:15
AMP, And
let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule
(act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and
settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful
state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to
live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].
[4] Ecclesiastes
7:8a NLT, Finishing is better than
starting.
Ephesians 2:10 AMP, For we are Love’s [own] handiwork
(His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those
good works which Love predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths
which Love prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living
the good Life which Love prearranged and made ready for us to live]. {emphasis}
