Belief Systems Indentified

One morning my day started out like any other; however, it definitely didn’t end that way.  This particular morning while making my daily declarations and decrees, I had an epiphany.  There was one decree in particular that I would say very often, “I am debt free!”  You see, I had gained the understanding that God desires for us to be the lenders and not the borrowers.[1]  I mentally embraced the Truth that as long as I was borrowing, I would be a servant to the lenders, and I was no longer content to remain in a “slave status”.  Therefore, I was trying to get out of that predicament as soon as possible and subsequently was putting my mouth to some serious calisthenics.
As I was professing, declaring, and decreeing the Holy Spirit whispered ever so softly…
Juli, your belief system is not what you say; but what you do.”

I took pause – literally.  I knew it was a Divine Revelation from the Lord because I had never heard anything like that before.  After some time of reflection for inner peace, I began to embrace wholeheartedly the essence of this Revelation.  Although I was giving lip service to what I said I believed, my life did not reflect what my mouth was professing.  Therefore, I was not walking in spiritual integrity (personal agreement) and lacked the authority that was necessary for that declaration/decree to become a reality to my natural senses.  Unfortunately, there was no corresponding action to verify I had acknowledged in my heart what I knew to be true in my head.
It was at that moment that I began to realize I was a joke to the opposing forces in my life which was preventing my progress in the realization of my confession!  This honest observation about the true condition of my soul (mind, emotions, and will) revealed I was living a life of contradiction – living a lie, if you will.  Saying one thing and doing another caused me to lack the authority that is necessary to effect Kingdom change in my life.
Again, our belief system is not what we say; but what we do!  I am hopeful my confession provokes you to accurately identify your own belief systems.  As I heard an individual once say, “Healing power only exists when one’s actions correspond with their words!”  When we experience spiritual integrity by coming into active agreement with our confessions, we then can expect the manifestation of divine transformations in our lives, homes, communities, state, country, and eventually beyond.  What a wonderful world it would be!!
