Re-Evaluating Wealth by Julianne Pearson

Last Summer I heard a speaker comment on the positive side of the economic hardship that America was experiencing.  To most, I’m sure this is an oxymoron – a positive side to an economic crisis!  That’s exactly right.  There is a positive side.  Hear and embrace.
The speaker proceeded to state that the current economic hardship was requiring all of us to re-define wealth.  For if we were one of the ones that only defined wealth by the condition of our monetary status, we would then be one of the ones with a distorted perception of our personal value.  By re-evaluating our personal wealth, we would discover that most have had a misplaced value system that needed some major divine adjustments.
Throughout the past few years, I’ve been disturbed to see just how distorted most personal value systems have become due to the fluctuation in their economic status.  Additionally, I have observed how this distorted paradigm has influenced the perceived value of their relationships because we can only project what we introspect.  Therefore, if we have been conditioned by the shallow waters of the current world culture to view our value based upon our material acquisitions such as the balance of our bank accounts or the status of our stock portfolios, that’s exactly the same measuring stick we will use to determine the current value of those we are in relationship with.  Unfortunately, many are being rejected and discriminated against simply because of what they are able or unable to monetarily do instead of being weighed by the content of their character.
Today, let me enlighten you to one important Truth that you may have dismissed or overlooked – people are more valuable than money or anything material, for that matter.  When an individual gives from the treasures of their time, talent, gifts, abilities, and wisdom, they have given you something that is priceless – they have given of themselves!  And one thing is for certain – in this life – material things can be replaced, money can be recovered, and status or positions can be restored; however, people can never be recreated.
Take sometime today and re-evaluate your wealth regardless of your current economic status.  Choose to treasure every personal investment that has been granted unto you.  Don’t allow these invaluable exchanges to slip through your fingers because you were choosing the temporal over the eternal by either majoring on the minors or magnifying the immaterial over the material. By re-evaluating your wealth, you just might discover, all this time, you are very well off with divine treasures living right inside and in front of you.

Throw Yourself a Party! by Julianne Pearson

Accomplishments are the Bricks that are
Placed of the Framework of Potential
Al Pearson

Today I had the privilege of celebrating with my cousin, Leah.  We rejoiced over the manifestation of a long-awaited dream, the manifestation of personal passion.  Finally, this seed of divine potential has become a fully bloomed flower of divine accomplishment – Opus I:  Love is… her first CD release.
One of the reasons I have a feeling of great joy for Leah’s divine accomplishment is because she did not wait until all the conditions of her life were perfect before she forcefully advanced to produce according to what God had ordained for her life.  We all know some people who know that God has called them to a particular assignment; however, they are waiting until all of their ducks are in a row before they even attempt to accomplish purpose.  Unfortunately, satan will continue to arrange the delay, and they will continue to wait for until which will continue to exist…until!

Until what, you may ask.  Well until
·        The Word of God silences the insignificant opinions of man.

·        They embrace who they were and live in spiritual integrity, refusing to be anyone other than who God has created, ordained, anointed, appointed, and commissioned them to be.

·        They decide to produce in their state of captivity, using what they have, starting where they are, and doing what they can.

·        Their “misery factor” finally outweighs their “fear factor”.

·        They are willing to deny themselves of temporal pleasures temporarily for the establishment of eternal blessings permanently, producing according to divine vision that will outlive them.

·        They are determined to never settle for less than God’s Best by regulating their minds and managing their emotions, no longer being moved by the circumstantial induced indecent proposals a life of compromise flirtatiously offers.

Therefore, if you are one of the ones who has been faithful and fruitful, committed to produce regardless, don’t wait for someone else to celebrate you.  Throw yourself a party!  You know what you’ve had to endure to be who God has called you to be; and therefore, do what you’ve been divinely assigned to do.  Recognize your own value and celebrate you!
However, if you are one of the ones who is waiting for until, it has arrived...Today!  I encourage you to avoid the common tendency to allow your mind to rationalize you out of following your heart.  Is it possible that your heart could be leading into the greatest season of liberty you have ever experienced?  As Al frequently states, “Potential is unused capacity.”  Let divine visualization become a realization in your life.  Then and only then, like Leah, you can throw yourself a party, giving others the opportunity to celebrate with you too!

It’s Time to Occupy! by Julianne Pearson

In 2005, I had the privilege of writing and publishing a book entitled “Getting What’s Already Yours! – 7 Keys to Taking Possession”.  The 7 Keys to Taking Possession are:
1.      Walk in God-Confidence NOT Self-Confidence
2.      Be More Determined than Your Enemy
3.      Never Settle for Anything Less than God’s Best!
4.      Completely Destroy Everything that Hinders You!
5.      Speak with God-given Authority!
6.      Check Your Inner-Me!
7.      Develop Bulldog Tenacity

Over the past six years I’ve been enlightened to one invaluable lesson:  Possessing is not enough; it is now time to occupy!

According to most dictionaries, possess and occupy are considered synonymous.  However, I’ve gained a greater understanding of their slight difference in meaning that can make all the difference in each of our lives.  Let me explain.

To possess means “to obtain”; however, to occupy means “to be established in or to live”.  Can you see the slight difference?  Taking possession of something does not guarantee an individual will have the capacity to occupy that thing.  Allow me to give you a few examples to solidify this thought.

·        Many possess a vehicle; however, some forfeit occupying through repossession.
·        Many possess a house; however, some do not occupy the property due to foreclosure.
·        Many possess an income; however, few occupy a cash flow.
·        Many possess a gift or talent; however, there are individuals who lack the character to occupy the very place or position their gift or talent takes them.
·        Many possess a marriage certificate and ceremony; however, based on recent divorce statistics fewer individuals occupy the marriage as a spiritual union.
·        And in light of July 4th, Independence Day, all Americans possess freedom; however, many aren’t fortified morally, mentally, or emotionally to be free.

In my life experience, I have discovered that it is fairly simple to take possession; however, simply possessing is no longer acceptable.  I am ready to occupy – to be established, live, grow, and thrive – in every area I choose to possess.  To successfully occupy every possession takes personal discipline through the consistent application of Truth on a daily basis.

Today, I encourage you…don’t settle for possessing, choose to occupy!  Persistently endeavor to develop in character to handle the weight of the responsibilities that come with every possession.  For it’s in occupying that a legacy is established.  Therefore, our descendants are depending on us to make our ceiling their floor!  Now can you see why possessing is just not enough?  It’s time to occupy!
